Lexi

My name is Alexia Bellow and I moved to Ponchatoula, Louisiana in 2005 from Westwego, Louisiana. I have been surrounded by animals for as long as I can remember. Ranging from hamsters, birds, snakes and rabbits to dogs, cats, and horses. My favorite pastime was ensuring their happiness.

My goal with Abby’s Furry Friends is to help create a clear communication path between you and your trainer so your pet can enjoy the fun days with you, while I learn some new techniques from Abby to work towards my own certifications. With years in the service industry I’ve learned to understand and anticipate the needs of many different people. Communicating about the things that are wrong and finding the best solution for pet and owner are so important for a full life with your fur-baby in tow. I’ll be working with you to make a schedule and find the package that works best for the whole family so we can get your pet trained in the best and most efficient way!
While most of my training experience is with my mom as pack leader, I gained hands on experience by replicating her commands. My greatest accomplishment is my first personal dog, Theo.

I adopted her in 2017 at just a few weeks old. Since she’s the first dog I’ve trained fully on my own she makes me proud when I can bring her with me for drinks on a patio. She is able to remain calm and collected in crowds or even for a hike in the mountains. I’m happiest when she can feel free and I get to see her happy and with my training she is able to enjoy every moment with me.

Flurry

Flurry’s 1+ year experience has come from working here at Abby’s Furry Friends. He had little to no knowledge about obedience or even being a dog before, but he deserved a chance, just like when he was adopted from our friends at the Northshore Humane Society. He is now a lover of all couches, assists with all phone calls & even likes to venture into the field sometimes for more paws-on activity! His sweet smile and salmon breath will greet you on any ruff day and he is sure to assist whenever he is needed. We asked him his favorite thing about working here and he said, “bark bark bark, bark bark… BARK BARK!” Safe to say he’ll be here for a while. 😉
